*Update -  Meet Aria! She is a 6 years young Rottweiler. I can't say enough good things about this sweet girl. She is loving and is very protective of her people. She knows many commands such as; sit, lay down, speak, and stay. She understands when you say things like "want a cookie", and "go pee pee." She is fully potty trained. She is content to lay around on the floor (shes been invited to the couch but prefers the coolness of the ground) and watch tv with her people or go exploring outside. Her weakeness is that she would do best as the only pet, or with other pets that are submissive because she would like to be the dog boss. For the most part, she pays cats no attention. She likes to protect her people from the TV dogs so she will bark at the TV when a dog or funny looking character comes across. She tends to bark at Thunder, but again it all comes back to protecting the ones she loves from things she fears may hurt them! She is very kind to guests in the home...welcomes them actually! This very smart little (BIG) girl has so much personality and has made for so much laughter in our home. She is so very tolerable of our children and their silly antics. I would absolutely recommend her to a home with small children. Does Aria sound like she would help complete your family? Take her home for a trial and find out!

UPDATE  We are very disappointed to be looking for a new family again for his total  love bug since she was adopted in 2016 from us.  She is extreamly well behaved. Really ideal for a family with kids who wants a low maintenance dedicated companion. She is 6 years old but has plenty of life and love to share

Aria is an energetic, intelligent, lovable dog who is highly motivated to please and learn. She is an 85 pound, 6 year old Rottweiler. According to her current owner, she does well with submissive dogs but any dog who tries to start a fight, she doesn’t back down from. She is an indoor family pet, adores kids, and is house trained.

Aria  is around 6 years and her adoption fee is 100 which covers the following: spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing, dhp/p, rabies, bordatella (agre appropriate vaccines), deworming, and all the care he received while with CVRR.  All animals are on flea and tick and parasite prevention for the duration in fostercare. We are an volunteer group, who process the applications so please be patient and  understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions.   You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone and email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process .    We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the dog  picks you too.  If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee and an adoption contract to be signed.  The adoption fees help cover a portion of the care provided to the animals. All dogs and pups are microchipped and all animals adopted out are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. **All of our animals have a lifetime commitment. If for any reason, the adoption does not work out, the cats and dogs are to come back to CVRR, which is a NO kill rescue.*** The foster family and the rescue volunteers will choose the new home based on the best fit for the dog/cat.

Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/.

The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care.

Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy.

We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter.

CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract.

CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it.
