|
Moseley came to CVRR from an overcrowded shelter where his time was running out, a friendly fellow and a quick learner, Moseley is housebroken and crate trained. He did well for us on a trip to the vet to get checked out and for a bath before going to his foster home. He is exuberant when he meets people or sees another dog and needs to learn about not jumping up on people. Once the initial greeting is over he settles down nicely and enjoys pets and belly rubs. He has multiple speeds of playing: running with gusto, wrestling, then coming in to nap peacefully. Moseley enjoys going for walks but needs to be reminded not to pull. He eats politely and takes treats gently but needs a diet as he is a little overweight. He has lost some weight for us but has a little way to go. We would like to see him at 50-55 lbs and will be working on that! A fenced yard would be a plus to help him lose some of those extra pounds. He loves to run and play with other dogs and would be a nice playmate for another dog buddy. We recommend a home with adults only or with older children, not young ones. We have not had a chance to check him out with cats yet. He is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm and stool check. He is microchipped and ready to meet the public to find his forever home.
**Moseley's adoption fee is $200.
More about Moseley
Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it.
