*The adoption fee for this dog is $175
WOOF! My name is Hank. I also go by Roy and Hanky. I am a 3-year-old hound boy that loves to spend the day kicking it back. I don’t mind going out on a little leisure walk and I have figured my leash out, but once I have done my business I want to go back inside. Loud noises aren’t my favorite so if there is something going on I might go to my favorite place I feel safe and lay there. That is usually my bed or in a quiet room. I’m not crazy about being in a crate and I will miss you when you’re off at work. I don’t really bark. I like to keep my peace but when I see you, I whine a little bit and do my little dancey dance all because I have missed you. I am currently kicking it back with two older dogs and I haven’t quite figured them out but they're not that bad. Sometimes we share water and no one cares. There is a cat in my foster home as well and I really don’t mind him until he tries playing with my tail because I have to go to the other side of the room. My ideal fur-ever home would be somewhere laid back, I can spend lots and lots of time with my family, and is quiet. I have been told I am a good boy but the attention is all new and it almost feels weird but I love it! I don’t mind the idea of having a dog or cat sibling but having the house to myself would be the chef's lick. My foster dad has had to give me some medicine because I wasn’t always loved on the farm I was rescued from but my foster dad is making sure I am feeling 100% for when it's time for you to take me home. Since I was on a farm, the world was my throne! I prefer to potty outside but I have had a couple of accidents. I promise I am getting better and better! My foster dad says I’m getting a lot better about asking to go potty outside by perking up my ears and going to the door. That’s all about me! I hope we can meet very soon so you to take me home. OH! Make sure you are ready with the TV on when we get home because I LOVE to watch TV!
More about Hank
Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it.
