Hi Friends!

  • My name is Champ (I am working on learning my name) and I am looking for my furever home! I bet YOU want to adopt me already, but just in case you aren't 100% sure, let me tell you all about me.
  • I'm just a baby at 4 months young, so you can expect all the normal puppy energy followed by lots of love. We don't know what my breeds are, but the nice lady at the shelter gave it her best guess. I am currently 23lbs and have been told I need to stick with my kibbles to grow big and strong. I have 3 human foster siblings, ranging in age from 1-6 and we get along great! We have the same kind of energy, after all! I love them so much, especially when they play with me outside or let me snuggle with them on the couch.
  • In just a week I have started to learn "sit", "off", and "lie down". I am trying my hardest to learn how to touch a bell on the door when I need to go potty, but that is a tricky one so I will need someone to continue helping me with my potty training. Even though I know so many things already, I can't wait for you to teach me even more tricks and good manners. I love to play with my stuffies and chase a ball. My foster mom always tells me to bring the ball back, but I don't want to give it up....I mean she did just throw it to me.
  • After playtime and in the evenings I love to curl up next to you or snuggle in for a snooze. At night time, I sleep in my crate. If my foster siblings are still up moving around I bark to tell them it is time for bed and then once things calm down I am quiet all night long. I do take one potty break in the middle of the night so I don't have an accident in my crate.

I am a very happy, sweet, loveable, snuggly boy who can't wait to join your family!

Love,

Champ

Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/.

The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care.

Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy.

We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter.

CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract.

CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it.
