The Halloween litter is 6 weeks old and will be available to go home with their new families next week!  They are your typical lovable, trouble making, silly, loud, affectionate youngsters. They appear healthy beyond being a little thin from the large litter size and some common parasites.  They have received their first vaccines/deworming/parasite control.  Meet and greets are set up only with approved families since our babies live in foster homes.  Mom is a beagle mix (picture) and dad is unknown.  They are around 5 pounds and likely will top out between 30-40 pounds although we have know way if known if for sure.

Our first step is an application which can be filled out at:   www.cvrrescue.org

The adoption fee for this dog is $250.00 which helps to cover a portion of the care provided, including: spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing, deworming, age appropriate vaccinations: DHLP/P, Bordetella, Rabies, and any medical care received while with CVRR.  All animals are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care.

CVRR is a nonprofit organization, we have no paid staff. Applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks and follow-up questions.   You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone and email info for all your references.

Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the dog picks you too.  If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee and an adoption contract to be signed.  The adoption fee helps to cover a portion of the care provided to the animals.   By the time of adoption all dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vetting.

CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out the animal is to be returned to CVRR.   We will re-evaluate and choose a new home based on the best fit for that particular animal.

A note about puppies:  Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal energetic puppy issues such as jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness, until they are trained.  If you are having puppy issues please feel free to contact us, we are happy to give you guidance.  Because this is a mixed breed we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or you are looking for an ideal weight we don’t recommend applying for this puppy (you can always check out the adult dogs whose weights we do know).
