*Update* Beamer has been with us about two weeks now and is just as calm and easygoing as he was on day 1. He loves to sleep on the bed, casually chew his bone with peanut butter filling, snuggle somewhere soft and stroll around the house after you. Most of all, he loves walks. He walks very nicely on a leash and knows 'heel', although if you don't tell him to, he will pull a little if he sees a possible friend! Every person he has ever seen has been a possible friend, and if you allow him, he will either pull to get over and ask for pets, or put on the brakes until they come to him! He's met at least two dozen people around campus and none have been greeted any less warmly than the last. He loves kids, he loves men and women, he loves the students, he loves everyone.
Beamer is impeccably house trained, although he gets nervous being left in a room or crate, he does totally fine being left with free reign of the house. He also knows sit, shake, and stay. He has been a total delight to have in our house, hands down the easiest, lowest-maintenance dog we've ever had. Beamer would fit anywhere. He loves people, kids, dogs, and hasn’t shown any interest in cats. Beamer may not be the cutest puppy or the fuzziest little dog, but he is just deeply and fundamentally a good dog. The family that can look past his velveteen rabbit scruffy exterior will be so rewarded in this awesome guy.
Beamer is new to foster care and his foster mom is already in love with him "Meet precious boy Beamer. He seems to know his name, so for now we're going to keep it. He's so calm and well mannered. A total doll so far." He's a laid back, quiet guy that loves to snuggle. He's great with dogs and kids and is housetrained and great on the leash.
This dogs adoption fee is $175 which covers the following: spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing, dhp/p, rabies, bordatella (agre appropriate vaccines), deworming, and all the care he received while with CVRR. All animals are on flea and tick and parasite prevention for the duration in fostercare. We are an volunteer group, who process the applications so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone and email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process . We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the dog picks you too. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee and an adoption contract to be signed. The adoption fees help cover a portion of the care provided to the animals. All dogs and cats are microchipped and all animals adopted out are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. **All of our animals have a lifetime commitment. If for any reason, the adoption does not work out, the cats and dogs are to come back to CVRR, which is a NO kill rescue.*** The foster family and the rescue volunteers will choose the new home based on the best fit for the dog/cat.

More about Beamer
Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it.
