Our first step is an application which can be filled out at www.cvrrescue.org
Romeo is beyond sweet! He was a shelter favorite and now a rescue favorite. He has settled into his foster home and has already had his first round of heartworm treatment. He loves to snuggle and please his people. He is available for LOCAL adoption at this time since he is still under heartworm treatment (through CVRR payment). If you are interested don't let the HW treatment stop you he will bring so much love and joy to your life.
Update: He has completed heartworm treatment, will need to be re-tested in 6 months, but he is ready for adoption!!
Update: Romeo O’Romeo, how we ALL love Romeo! Folks, this is your truest form of a gentleman. This loving man will have you at "Hello". He wants to lay exactly where you are but will be content to snuggle with another doggy friend if you are up and around. Romeo has a sweet and gentle temperament. He has officially had his second heartworm treatment and is now free to resume normal activity and we know there is a goofy side just waiting to come out. While he understands house rules when you are home, he will most likely need to be crated when gone. He has done well with all his foster home dogs and cats as well. Fill out an application today and make sure you want a dog before you come to meet Romeo because I can promise you will leave one!
This dogs doption fee is $175 which covers the following: spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing, dhp/p, rabies, bordatella (agre appropriate vaccines), deworming, and all the care he received while with CVRR. All animals are on flea and tick and parasite prevention for the duration in fostercare. We are an volunteer group, who process the applications so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone and email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process . We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible. When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the dog picks you too. If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee and an adoption contract to be signed. The adoption fees help cover a portion of the care provided to the animals. All dogs and cats are microchipped and all animals adopted out are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. **All of our animals have a lifetime commitment. If for any reason, the adoption does not work out, the cats and dogs are to come back to CVRR, which is a NO kill rescue.*** The foster family and the rescue volunteers will choose the new home based on the best fit for the dog/cat.

More about Romeo
Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it.
